How Many Brake Discs Can A .50 Cal Sniper Rifle Shoot Through?
Ever wondered how effective used brake discs are at stopping bullets? Wonder no more...
It’s time to answer one of those questions no one asked, as we watch a man shoot at a bunch of old brake discs with guns of differing sizes.
The video takes around three minutes to get to the point (you may want to skip to around the 2min 50sec mark to avoid the waffling, adverts and singing), and what we learn is this: if you want to shoot through a few brake discs, you’re going to need something massive. Like a Barrett M82 sniper rifle using a .50 calibre round.
We’re not certain what use that information is, nor why Matt from DemolitionRanch keeps referring to what he’s shooting as ‘callipers’, but regardless, this sure is fun to watch.

Actually no, I’ve never wondered this. Probably because of the fact that there’s no reason to shoot a brake disc. 🤔
I think they are practicing to eliminate terrorists with cars which have brake disks all over them.
I mean in an even of an apocalypse, this would be useful wouldn’t it? 😛
I mean what’s next? How many engine blocks can a .50 Cal shoot through?

There is a video of a guy shooting a .20 through an engine block.
