How A Racing Driver Escaped This 120mph Hill Climb Crash With Just A Broken Cheek Bone Is A Miracle

Racing driver Wallace Menzies miraculously emerged with only cuts, bruises and a broken cheek bone after a high-speed crash during a hill climb event last weekend.

He was competing in a round of the British Hill Climb Championship at the historic Shelsley Walsh venue when his DJ Firestorm struck a high verge at 120mph on the run to the Bottom S section.

The car flipped twice before landing in a ditch. Menzies remained in the wreckage for 45 minutes before he was freed by the medical team and marshals.

He was taken to hospital but was discharged a few hours later with only a broken cheek bone, cuts to his face and a bruised shoulder. Below is a video of the brutal crash.
