As far as adverts go, this one’s a good’un. 13-year-old Stephanie of Houston, Texas wanted to send a message to her father (unnamed, but we reckon it could be Col. Terry Virts, who’s currently on the ISS and has a daughter of the same name) - on the International Space Station. Hyundai decided to lend a hand, and as a car company, the obvious method of delivery would be a ruddy massive message written with tyre tracks.

Delamar Dry Lake in Nevada was chosen as the place to do it, and 11 Hyundai Genesis saloons driving in formation wrote out the message. To be visible to those onboard the ISS, the message had to be huge. In fact, at 2.14 square miles (one and a half times the size of New York’s Central Park, apparently), the finished result now holds the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest tire track image’. Impressive.
