It's Official: Polestar Will Build Its Own Performance EVs, Without A Volvo Badge In Sight

Up to now, Polestar has produced limited edition hot Volvos. The name is arguably still under the radar in the UK, but Polestar is set to become a fully-fledged manufacturer in its own right.
The cars it’s set to produce will use the same platform and underpinnings as the Volvos we’re used to, but Polestar cars won’t carry Volvo badges. They probably won’t look like Volvos either, with the offshoot having cherry-picked some serious design talent. The man responsible for Volvo’s recent good-looking range of cars, Thomas Ingenlath, has been recruited as the boss of the newly-standalone firm.

So, the whole idea is a little different to something like Mercedes-AMG, particularly when you look at powertrains. Whereas AMG creates fire-breathing monsters that guzzle petrol almost as fast as you can put it in, Polestar’s cars will be all electric.
As reported last week, parent company Geely will focus its motorsport efforts around Polestar, so you’ll be hearing a lot more of the name in years to come.

Polestar: Electric tanks in disguise
Now Sweden has silent, electric tanks. Good thing they’re pacifists.

That’s a good thing and a bad thing in the same type. Good is that the current cars won’t be just converted to EV’s. They will be made from scratch. Also another good thing is that Poleaster will have more money, to boost more cars. Another good thing is that we will get fast EV’s. The bad thing is that Polestar never built a car from scratch, so uh oh
I hope this car have that Polestar Blue, because man this colour is beautiful in any Volvo car.
Nice! Really excited for this!!!
So like RUF then…
