Koenigsegg has recently confirmed that its hardcore Agera RS is the company's fastest selling supercar
The Koenigsegg Agera RS Sold Out In Record Time

The Koenigsegg Agera RS made its debut just 10 months ago at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Designed to be a half-way house between the bonkers Agera R and the even more bonkers One:1, the RS has become the Swedish manufacturer’s fastest selling model, with the entire production run of 25 models selling out in less than a year.

With a twin-turbo, 1144bhp, dry-sump V8, the RS offers ridiculous straight line performance. The dash to 60mph is completed in an impressive 2.9 seconds and the sprint to 250mph obliterated in a mind-bending 20 seconds. To keep the car controllable and liveable the RS has also gained an active rear spoiler, an aggressive front spitter, dynamic underbody flaps and increased sound insulation over the ‘standard’ Agera R. This mix of usability and devastating performance has clearly stuck a chord with buyers.

Christian von Koenigsegg was understandably delighted with the success of the hypercar:

“I am extremely proud of the Agera RS program. The RS is a classic Koenigsegg, with all the core values and features that the Koenigsegg brand stands for. The performance, road feel and responsiveness are truly amazing and the level of technical sophistication is second to none. It is a true ‘pinnacle’ project that has been wholly embraced by our customers and friends.”

Orders have been placed worldwide covering the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE. However, it takes time to build these hand-made supercars, so the majority of customers will have to be patient, with their unique machines being delivered in 2017.
