We brought two of Honda’s fastest road going machines (that you can actually buy) together to settle an age-old argument. Which is quicker in the real world: two or four wheels?

Honda gave us the keys to a MSX125 for seven days to give us an idea of what owning a modern day monkey bike is like. After an action packed week of city riding, we’re happy to report that bigger doesn’t always mean better…

Hard launches take their toll on all transmissions, but all-wheel drive cars fare the worst. This is because AWD cars often have more grip than power. For example, it’s possible to perform full-throttle launches in the current WRX STI with minimal wheel-spin. So unlike a RWD BRZ or M3, the tyres aren’t the weakest link. This leaves the transmission to bare the brunt of a hard launch.

A divisive topic. For example, I love my Lightening Red BRZ, but Features Editor Darren Cassey dislikes the colour with a passion. So what is your ideal colour choice: World Rally Blue (Subaru), Giallo (Toyota) or perhaps Asphalt Grey (Scion)? Let us know!

I’ve never really liked the look of Rocket Bunny kits until I saw the car above. In gloss grey with the CSL wing it looks absolutely phenomenal. What do you guys think, keep the car clean and subtle, or go all out JDM?

I’ve been using Shell V-Power for the past year but I’ve heard good things about Tesco Momentum 99. What fuel would you guys recommend?

I’m planning to wrap my BRZ to protect its paint. I think Nardo Grey would look absolutely incredible, but I’m open to suggestions! Oh, and I’m also tempted to go with yellow lights. What do you guys think?

With its handsome styling, responsive chassis and top notch interior, we’ve always been big fans of the Audi A1. Over the years, the German manufacturer has perfected its small hatchback, but the model arguably peaked back in 2012, with the limited-run A1 Quattro. With a compact 2.0-litre 252bhp four-cylinder engine, the Quattro could rocket from 0-62 in just 5.7 seconds. Identical to its bigger brother, the S3.

After conducting a bit of research, it looks like fitting a supercharger is the best option for the BRZ. Supposedly a turbocharger puts quite a lot of stress on the engine and I don’t really want to touch the internals. Whereas the lower torque of a supercharger is easier on the engine while still giving significant top end gains. It’s also much easier to source a supercharger in the UK. My colleague Matt Robinson investigated this during his review of the Cosworth GT86:

Skiing Legend Jon Olsson was looking to create a viral video by thrashing his beautiful Murcielago LP640 up a frozen ski slope. Instead, with the snow too soft and the car too heavy, he ended up with a stranded supercar. Let's hope his second attempt is more successful...

I’m starting with Litchfield’s Handling Pack which includes Eibach springs and custom front and rear adjustable anti-roll bars. I was tempted to go for coilovers but I want to retain OEM levels of ride quality. And from the advice given yesterday, I’m also happy to report that a new set of wheels and tyres are on the way (I’m going to keep my choice under wraps until they’re fitted.) These modifications should transform the handling. Watch out for a full write up and review very soon.
