Lamborghini's 'Chassis Zero' Veneno Isn't Afraid To Attack A Soaking Race Track
As you may have noticed recently, Lamborghini has gone completely nuts with making hugely expensive, low-volume hypercars. One such effort, the Aventador-based Veneno, has been filmed blasting around the Vallelunga circuit near Rome. The car in the video is chassis 0, Lambo's test car that will most likely end up as a museum-piece.
Only three production Venenos will ever be built, with one in green, one in red and one in white to represent the Italian flag. It uses the same 6.5-litre V12 as the Aventador, which is fettled to raise power from 690bhp to 750bhp. The cost? £3.1 million, and even if you have that sort of cash stuffed behind the sofa you can forget it; all three are already spoken for.
We'd have liked to have seen (and heard) the Veneno receive more of a thrashing than it did, but the circuit was soaking wet during this demonstration run. We'll therefore forgive the driver for being a little delicate with the throttle.
