If the idea of driving stick worries you to the point tears, then this innovative, 3D printed gear knob could be just what you need to enable you to shift through gears seamlessly.

Created by Ford engineer Zac Nelson, the gear knob uses hardware from an Xbox controller which is hooked up to real-time data of the car. When the 3D-printed knob recognises the optimum time for the driver to shift up or down (based on the car's revs), the knob vibrates to let you know. It also has a useful LCD display telling you which gear you're in.
