Maria Teresa de Filippis, the first woman to race in F1

Maria Teresa de Filippis pioneered women’s history in F1 among the seasons of 1958 and 1959, when she enrolled in five races of which she started three. Her best result was a 10th position in 1958 Belgian Grand Prix. Maria ended her career the following year at Monaco’s Grand Prix.

Her best result was a 10th position in 1958 Belgian Grand Prix. Maria ended her career the following year at Monaco’s Grand Prix. She competed using the legendary Maserati 250F, so from most points of view Maserati was the first automobile brand to introduce a female driver to F1.
Sadly she passed away on 8th of January 2016. Rest in peace F1 Queen!

I love her and he participation in F1 was great! One of the best women racers ever been.
