As the deadline for submissions and votes to the London Motor Film Festival community is approaching really fast (July 20th) I wanted to make this article to encourage you to go in there and pick your favourites. Only the videos with the most upvotes will be sent by CarThrottle to #LMFF, so let’s help out the video creators in our community! 😄 After I gave a scroll through the community I ended up upvoting these three, as I liked them the most:

Top Gear just teased its second episode and we’ll get a lot of Chris Evans, Matt LeBlanc and Eddie Jordan action. I personally can’t wait to see Eddie’s performance, I’ve seen a previous show he did and I remembered being quite entertained by him. In the second episode they will apparently attempt to find one which is the best sporting SUV? Is it Jaguar’s new F-Pace, the Porsche Macan or the Mercedes-Benz GLC? Remains to be seen… Will you tune in to the show this Sunday?

At Google I/O 2016, Google showed off a Maserati Quattroporte that’s running Android on a giant 4K display in the dashboard. Google installed a massive touchscreen in the centre console and also added a display where the dashboard is supposed to live.

I don’t consider myself much of a car photographer, but I like to take a nice picture of a car from time to time. I’m that weird guy who’ll stop in the middle of the street and start experimenting some gymnastics positions and everybody around would ask themselves “what the hell is he doing?!”. Right, so let’s see how my photos looked like THEN and NOW .

Sibiu experiences the spirit of Gumball 3000 just before the last stop of the rally in Bucharest. Team 43 Skjerven were the first to hit the old town of Sibiu with their Ferrari 458 Italia and then slowly lots of Gumballers started to arrive. More videos are coming soon!

Who’s Chris Labrooy? After graduating from the RCA with an MA in design products, Chris first began to use 3D as a simple tool to visualise ideas for furniture and products that he could not afford to produce. As 3D technology and hardware evolved, Chris saw an opportunity to explore CGI as a creative medium in itself with which he could subvert and twist familiar everyday things into new typographic and sculptural forms. Chris is interested in the intersection between typography, architecture, product design and visual art.

Magnus Walker is probably the most original Porsche collector out there, his style is unmatched and his most recognised car, the 911 Urban Outlaw became a true icon in the modern car culture. Here are some stunning GIFs with it :)

RavenwestR1 is a YouTube user who spends his time recreating a lot of game trailers and intros in the internationally acclaimed Grand Theft Auto 5. This time he went through and uploaded the amazing remake of the Need for Speed Underground intro and, oh boy… does it bring back lots of amazing memories?

You know what’s beautiful about blog posts? They bring so much knowledge to the table and they’re so interesting that I love reading them, but let’s see how could YOU create the best #blogpost on CarThrottle! 1. At the New York Auto Show Mazda unveiled a hardtop targa brother for the Miata and it’s nothing tho disappoint. Just like the Porshce 911 Targa, the Mazda MX-5 RF has a beautiful moving mechanism which retracts the roof in the trunk. The roof can be opened or closed in 12 seconds at speeds up to 6 mph, and stows compactly like the soft top.

I remember when this car came out, everybody seemed to like the looks of it and it was basically a BMW 5 Series competitor, but only more expensive, probably not as reliable, but still a luxurious and interesting looking ride. One of my neighbours also got one and I saw him when he brought it to the parking lot and I immediately asked myself “why the hell isn’t more people buying this beauty?” But let’s analyse if the C6 is a future classic car, shall we?

My car is a Nissan Terrano 2 with a 2.4 litre engine, petrol powered from the year 2000. So far it went without a name, so basically NAME MY RIIIIDEEE! Whatever name sounds best I’ll make a sticker design out of it and I’ll slap it on. Let’s see your worst, but just don’t name it Derek 😂

Whoa, whoa! Hold your horses! I don’t have a problem with the people who like them. I learned to drive on a diesel Dacia Logan actually, but right now and most likely in the future I won’t throw my money on a diesel powered car. Where does my hate come from?

Georges Paulin was born in 1902 in a working class section of Paris and during his lifetime he was a dentist, part-time automobile designer and hero of the French Resistance during the Second World War. What did you say you’ve done today? He was the designer for French coachbuilder Marcel Pourtout between 1934 and 1938 and among his creations we can find a Panhard coupe, a Unic cabriolet, a Delage D8, the “teardrop” Talbot-Lago (one of my all time favourites car) and the Darl’mat Peugeot roadsters used in 1937 and 1938 at Le Mans.

Surely Tesla is not planning anything like this in the near future, but it would be really interesting to see something similar on the streets. Not only it would be more useful and spacious, but the Germans will love it!

Maria Teresa de Filippis pioneered women’s history in F1 among the seasons of 1958 and 1959, when she enrolled in five races of which she started three. Her best result was a 10th position in 1958 Belgian Grand Prix. Maria ended her career the following year at Monaco’s Grand Prix. She competed using the legendary Maserati 250F, so from most points of view Maserati was the first automobile brand to introduce a female driver to F1. Sadly she passed away on 8th of January 2016. Rest in peace F1 Queen!
