New details have come out from Tesla on the progress of it's business plan and the Model S project. Included is a new new, pretty revealing teaser shot of the Model S. It looks amazing!

Tesla Model S Teaser

Above is the last and only other teaser shot of the Model S, released last year by Tesla.  The latest teaser reveals much more about the car's design. From the photo, we can see the relative size of the vehicle and the unique new headlight design.

It looks extremely well put together and highly sophisticated (remember this is a pre-production prototype) like a model in it's price range should be.

What I'm interested in seeing is how they handle the front end; will there be a front grille? Anyhow, this bodes very well for the future of Tesla!

Along with the teaser comes other news, including a confirmation of a March 26th reveal date and news on the $350 million in Department of Energy loan guarantees that the program is dependent on.

According to Tesla, the loan review is in the final stages and CEO Elon Musk has gotten the word that the DOE expects to disburse funds within four to five months.

That is truly fantastic news and a big milestone for the company! Without it, we'd see the Model S program delayed possibly indefinitely.

Telsa expects to have a final word on the loan guarantees by the car's March 26th reveal date, where we can also expect finalized details on production and maybe some better ideas on pricing.

Other good news to come from Tesla recently is that the company is that they are on track to reach profitability by mid-year and new orders for the Roadster keep on pouring in.

I must admit, I'm excited by this news. I wasn't so sure those loans would be granted, but it looks like that just might happen. Who knows, maybe the team at Tesla really can pull off the impossible?
