This Is The New Subaru Impreza
Here it is, the next generation of Subaru Impreza. Details are still rather scarce (the full reveal will happen later today), but we do know it’ll be powered by a range of four-cylinder boxer engines, and a five-door hatchback version will be available in addition to the saloon you see here. It’ll be the hatchback that we receive in the UK (although it’s only “under consideration” at the moment), as the saloon won’t be coming to Europe.
It’s all underpinned by Subaru’s new Global Platform architecture, which will eventually be used on every car in the company’s range and makes this Impreza 70 per cent stiffer than the old one. The new car is - of course - all-wheel drive, and a hot WRX STI will join the ranks at some stage.
So, in the absence of any hardcore details, we want to know what you think of the new Impreza. Get to the comments!

RUBBISH
Mazda 6 and legacy got a new baby!
details are on Subaru’s website. 2.0L direct-injection flat four, 152 horsepower and lineartronic CVT. Sport trim + 5 door could be quite nice if they offer a 5-speed
There supposedly is a manual in the works for this generation
Who else thinks it looks like the Jaguar XE at the front
Subaru is officially dead
The interior looks good now! Subarus used to have rubbish interiors with equally appalling refinement on the Imprezas they improved the refinement with the past few Prezas but the 06 refresh is awful
Looks like a civic on the 2nd picture, very disappointed :(
Why’s there a Subaru badge on that Camry?
This straight up looks like a Legacy to me
