Now Is Your Only Chance To Buy A Maserati MC12 FXX...Maybe
MC12’s are rare enough, but finding one badged as an FXX is even more unusual.
Two online adverts have been placed (the first on carandclassic.co.uk and the second on mobile.de) showing a matte orange and black MC12 that was, according to the advert, “purchased with 1,200 miles on the clock then sent to Italy to be converted.”
“MC12/FXX conversion done by Ferrari at FXX plant,” and the car “currently has 1,235 miles,” the advert continues.
The rest of the ad is a little strange, though, as this screenshot shows.
Firstly, it says “Located in the USA” when the seller’s details are listed as ‘Sandro G, 4224 Gorenja vas, Slovenia’. There are also two different numbers for this ‘private seller’.
Then there are the other details, which are pretty laughable. Any serious driver with enough money to buy an MC12 probably doesn’t need to be told it’s “Fast!!” and nor do they need to be told “This is a true collector car 4 U”.
Being told it “Can be exported at your costs….” is a bit of a cheek too, especially when the car is on sale for “$2,500,000 USD American dollars…oBo…”
And the best bit? On one ad the car's price is €1,290,000, while on the other it’s listed at $2.5 million, which equates to €1,919,680...Weird.
But if the car is as it’s described - 789bhp, more than 500 lb ft of torque and a top speed of something north of 240 mph - it can’t be all that bad.
