We may only have one more episode of The Grand Tour with the iconic presenting trio left to enjoy, but it’s definitely not the end of Clarkson, Hammond and May on our TVs. We’ve been waiting a while for the next instalment of the runaway success that is Clarkson’s Farm, and the first part of series three is finally out now on Amazon Prime.

The show takes a look at Clarkson’s experiences running Diddly Squar Farm, his 1,000-acre farm in the Cotswolds, and its first two seasons were met with strong reviews. It’s also propelled other cast members, notably Clarkson’s assistant Kaleb Cooper, to major stardom.

The third picks up where the second left off, with Clarkson still facing planning issues with the restaurant that briefly operated from the site. It appears as if the season hinges around a big promotion for Kaleb, and a competition between the two to see who can make the most money. The other running theme for the first few episodes of the series is the addition of pigs to the farm.

Based on the first trailer, series three will feature pretty much everything we’ve come to expect from the show: lots of lighter moments mixed in with a look at the sometimes grim reality of farming, Kaleb looking like a fish out of water, and some incomprehensible Gloucestershire dialect from another breakout star, Gerald.

What there isn’t much of is cars, but the show’s nevertheless struck a chord with both fans of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, and others who get to see a different, rather gentler side to Clarkson than we’re used to from his car shows.

Part one of series three, featuring the first four episodes, is now available to stream on Amazon Prime. The rest of the series will follow on Friday 10 May.
