Popping Out To Get Milk Is Much More Fun With A V8-Powered Off-Road Buggy
In a brilliant video that proves promo videos don't have to suck, Loren Healy of bonkers off-road series Ultra 4 is seen heading out to pick up some milk from the local supermarket - taking the scenic route in the process
This hardcore motorsport series can be traced back to the King of The Hammers, an annual, one-day off-road competition held each February in Johnson Valley, California. Such was its popularity, that the event evolved into the All 4 series, with seven events taking place across the United States.
Interestingly, the regulations are fairly open - the only requirement is the vehicles have to be four-wheel drive. This means you get - in Ultra 4’s words - cars that “come in all shapes and sizes”, which are all expected to be geared for over 100mph while still having ratios that can tackle technical rock crawling.
Sounds like a cool series, no?
