I mean it was somehow stupid cause Volkswagen payed both teams knowing that one will lose no matter how good they are so if they spend more money on developing better engines, one development will still be a loser not earning a single penny

Also diesel engines that audi used to have in wec will not have a future so the development is not worth it.

Also they shared similar chassis parts so besides the engine they weren’t even a lot different.

Audi vs. Porsche was fun to watch but a waste of money for Volkswagen.
