The Evoque convertible may have a handful of good features, but is it worth the best part of $70,000? Bearing in mind the giant panel gaps, the awful hood-up visibility, the pointless rear seats and the fact this 11,000 mile example already has a leaking roof and windows that sound “like a baby otter trying to give a distress call to its mother” when they’re being rolled up, probably not.

You are all missing the point here. There is no practical reason to buy such a car. You don’t buy an Evoque because you need it, you buy it because it’s expensive and you want to show the peasants around you how much money you have.
