Life as a footballer is pretty sweet. You get paid loads to run around at training all morning, then cruise home in your expensive motor to your mansion to chill all afternoon.

For Real Madrid's players, life just got a bit sweeter. Audi, the team's sponsor, allowed each player to select a vehicle from its range, with about half opting for the 3.0-litre Q7 TDI - quite why nobody went for an R8 is anyone's guess...

Highlights from the list include Sergio Ramos, who gets behind the wheel of an RS5, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who is now the proud owner of an RS6 Avant. The Portuguese star has a history of buying (and breaking) expensive motors, and also in line to pick up a LaFerrari. Also a special mention for backup 'keeper Jesús Fernández Collado, who drove away in a rather ordinary 2.0-litre TDI A3 Sportback.
