Small Michael Schumacher Update On The First Anniversary Of His Terrible Skiing Accident

One year on from Michael Schumacher’s skiing accident in the French Alps, his manager Sabine Kehm has given a short statement on his condition.

He suffered severe head injuries while on a family holiday in the resort of Meribel. The last update from Kehm was in September, where she confirmed that he was making progress and had returned home to continue his rehabiliation. She told Reuters yesterday:

“We need a long time. It is going to be a long time and a hard fight. He is making progress appropriate to the severity of the situation.”

Kehm also rubbished recent reports from French newspaper Le Parisien, which quoted former F1 driver Philippe Streiff as saying Schumacher was “beginning to recognise those around him” and is “working on sitting upright”.

She said:

“I cannot confirm that (report). I can only confirm that I do not know where Mr. Streiff has his information from because he has no contact with us and he never has.”

Keep fighting Michael!
