The Smart Fortwo Would Make An Awful Dakar Rally Car
The loudest dissenting voices about 4x4 vehicles claim that they're typically used in big cities by mums on the school run, never seeing a speck of dirt in their glitzy lives. The Smart Fortwo laughs in the face of these beasts.
Turning the stereotype on its head, Smart take their teeny-tiny city slicker into a dusty mountainous region and hoon it to within an inch of its life. Taking on river crossings, sandy inclines and massive boulders, the Fortwo fails miserably at every turn. But that's okay.
Cut to the city, and our fish-out-of-water 4x4 is contemplating a parking space smaller than its hefty backside can fit, but here comes the Fortwo, straight in without a care in the world.
It might only be half a car, but it's twice as awesome in the city.
