The Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow Is A Banana-Flavoured Special That Laughs In The Face Of Correct Grammar Usage

Subaru will build 500 of these fettled BRZs, featuring uprated shocks, beefier brakes and an infuriatingly poor name

No, that’s not a typo, this BRZ is called ‘Series.Yellow.’ The full stop is intentional, as is the lack of space after it. Which is so annoying and wrong it’s on the verge of causing me a nosebleed. So, awkward name stylising out of the way, what are we looking at here, other than a load of yellow paint?

The headline here is the standard fitment of the Performance Package - recently debuted along with a mid-life facelift - which has been added onto a Limited-spec BRZ. That means uprated dampers from Sachs, beefier brakes from Brembo with four-piston callipers at the front and two-piston at the rear, and a set of 17-inch wheels.

The banana-theme continues on the inside, with yellow stitching all over the Alcantara seats, the door cards, the steering wheel and the dashboard. Oh, and on the floor mats. In other words, this is the sort of BRZ Xzibit would commission for someone who likes yellow. Dawg.

Want one? It’ll be in showrooms in 2017, and just 500 will be built - all for the US market.

Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Ooh, black and yellow!
Let’s shake it up a little.
