The Subaru Viziv Concept Looks Even Better As A Wagon
Remember the Subaru Viziv concept? The Japanese muscle-fest - first revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show last year - now has a more practical sibling. It’s called the Viziv Tourer (apparently the word ‘estate’ just isn’t cool any more), and we like it a lot.
From the front it looks much the same as the Viziv - albeit with new headlights and a slightly reshaped front bumper - but around the back, we have an all-new and very handsome rear-end to enjoy. And the whole thing is finished in light brown. What’s not to like?
As with the original Viziv concept, there’s precious little in the way of technical information to go along with this angular beast. Subaru has said that it’s powered by a boxer engine and has a symmetrical all-wheel drive system, but that’s about it. There isn’t even a hint as to what statement the Viziv is supposed to be making, either.
Our take? It’s mostly likely a very early preview of the next WRX wagon. Subaru has a habit of producing wild concepts that end up massively toned down once the production version emerges, but as with the regular Viziv - which probably previews the next WRX saloon - we live in hope…

Massive wheels? Check. No door handles? Check. Headlights the width of a paranoid supermodel? Check.
Yep, it’s definitely a concept
It just doesn’t have that Subaru vibe
Umm the arches make it look like a
crossover
Nobody can say Subaru’s design department isn’t trying now. They’re pulling out all the stops.
Yep!
