This Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS Might Just Be The Most Spectacular Lego Set Ever Created
As you walk into Car Throttle HQ, you’ll see a fairly large Lego Ferrari F40. I spent a good few hours building it last year, at which point I was pretty sure it was the coolest Lego set ever created. But, that imaginary award now has to go to this incredible Lego Technic creation.
It’s set number 42056, and it’s a re-creation of the mighty Porsche 911 GT3 RS. And if you don’t want it very badly indeed, there’s something wrong with you.
It’s a 1:8 scale model of the real thing, and measures 57cm in length, 25cm in width and is 17cm high. If you’re looking for something to occupy your time, you’re in luck: with 2704 pieces in the set - more than twice the number found in the F40 kit - it isn’t going to be a quick thing to build.
Want one? It’s available from Lego’s online shop and selected Lego stores from 1 June, and everywhere else from 1 August. Predictably it’s not cheap: in the UK you’re looking at £249.00 in the UK and $299.99 in the USA.

The design behind this thing is so intricate and amazing. I was going to tear it down and rebuild it later (after I finish it) but I would buy another one, it’s that great. And the instructions keep you guessing as to what you’re building and they’ll switch up directions for similar parts so you get a different experience building essentially the same thing. The design behind it is brilliant. This is a masterpiece.
I want it … But im too poor to afford one
