Hey guys, what is the purpose of the red flashing light on the top of the windshield of the RS6?

I’ll get hate for this I’m sure, but I simply do not like the Gumball Rally and here’s why:

It is not a legitimate rally. There may be checkpoints, but it is about as close to being rally as it is to being a mobile hot dog stand. The name is the biggest misnomer and it drives the pedantic within me insane.
It is a rich kids playground that doesn’t favor all classes of the true petrolhead. If your car isn’t worth more than $70,000 you might as well go home. True petrolheads see every car as a car with potential, not just the 9-year-olds among us who like them because they’re fast and shiny. The “rally” is simply an excuse for the rich kids of the world to gather in one place to show off to people who only dream to be born as rich. Carthrottle and a select few teams that are run by former professional racers are the only real petrolheads in the Gumball 3000. The rest are simply rich kids from Abu Dabhi who spend the parents money in extravagant ways to inflate their egos. I’m sorry, but this is a rally reserved for the elite.
3 and finally: It just isn’t exciting. Sure, seeing the Emo-jiTR in London was an awesome experience, but beyond that, I could get just as much joy car spotting or at a dealership. Maybe they should find a way to involve the fans beyond social media.
It isn’t a real rally, please change the name. It’s a rich kid playground in a poor man’s vicarious life. It’s dull (for me atleast). I know this may sound harsh and perhaps a bit too involved and serious, and I’m sure this’ll be voted away, but seeing things like this make me wish the petrolhead world was better than this. I’m sorry but that’s just not fair, gumball is an icon! You don’t know anything about the people who take part, make are media partners covering the event for the fans, like carthrottle/ shme150/ mr jww/ Sen Delaney… The event has such a. Huge van involvement through the grids and public meets multiple times each day

I get that the lifestyle they have is extravagant and they have crazy expensive cars and costs £35k just to take part

But we get a lot out of watching it, it’s not just a vanity fest as you claim
