Today's Community Question: Which car stereotypes are the most unwarranted?
The automotive community is a supportive network of car guys/girls who all share the same passion for four wheels. But that doesn’t stop us disagreeing from time to time, with many of these disagreements stemming from common stereotypes.
The automotive community is a supportive network of car guys/girls who all share the same passion for four wheels. But that doesn’t stop us disagreeing from time to time, with many of these disagreements stemming from common stereotypes. I mean, how many times have you heard that ‘MX-5s are for hairdressers’ or that ‘all Hondas are ricers’?
Granted these quips can be funny, and they’re usually made in good jest (we’ve done it plenty), but we want to know which stereotypes CTzens think are unfair and undeserved? Let us know in the comments below!

AE86’s are just all Initial D rep.. well they’re not. Pls no h8 on my 8..6.
That kinda comes from the initial d tax on them here a few years ago they could be had in good condition for under 5k now since driftings taken off as well as the whole Jdm scene and people have some idea what they are good like finding a rusted out shell for under 5k
BMW jokes makes me mad.
One I personally don’t like is that Volvo’s are for Teachers or for old people, I’ve never seen a Teacher or an OAP drive a C70 Coupe or even any of the Fast Volvo’s like the S60R or V60 Polestar
Alfa Romeo’s cars break down every two weeks
From what I’ve heard.. Is the Z8 a rich man’s miata ;(
VWs and check engine lights ……
To be fair that’s half my job
It’s true though👌🏻
Where do I begin?
All Bmw drivers are assholes and never use their indicators
Honda Civic drivers are ricers
“prius drivers drive a prius to save the environment”, 85% dont think this way, the just want a practical, reliable, cheap to run car.
