Toyota Is Replacing A Wildfire Hero's Fire-Damaged Truck For Free
Toyota USA is swimming in good PR today after offering to replace a Tundra pickup that was heavily fire-damaged while helping to evacuate hospital patients from the path of a wildfire.
Allyn Pierce used his Tundra to help evacuate patients from Paradise hospital, where he is lead nurse on the intensive care unit. The hospital was surrounded by deadly wildfire and, as the hospital itself eventually caught fire, evacuation had become the only choice despite emergency staff having already relocated to the buildingâs helipad.

The Tundra made two trips along roads that had become terrifying corridors of flame, picking up significant bodywork burns and melted headlights, but it kept running and helped save numerous lives.
After posting a picture of the beaten-up Tundra and a brief story on Instagram, Pierce was shocked to receive a reply from Toyota USA that read:
âWe are humbled youâd risk your life and Toyota Tundra to drive people to safety. Donât worry about your truck, weâre honored to get you a new one!â

Whether youâre a GM guy, a Ford nut or even just donât really like Toyota for whatever reason, youâve got to take your hat off. What a classy gesture. At the time of writing the original post has nearly 70,000 likes and over 6200 comments.

That is the most honourable thing that they could do to this person who risked it all to get people out alive!
Itâs not the first time that Yota replaces one of their trucks , i remember when an american man drove his Tundra for a million mile and they replaced it for the fidelity demonstrated by the guy . Itâs a great example of class and sportsmanship !
This is truly heartwarming.
