Try Not To Cry As You Watch This McLaren P1 Going Up In Flames
This P1 was filmed on fire in Colnbrook, Berkshire, and the footage is rather distressing...
This is definitely one of those lie down on the floor, try not to cry moments. We do see supercars go up in flames from time to time, but it’s not often something as rare as a McLaren P1 ablaze - just 375 of the things were made, after all.
The car was spotted on Poyle Road in Colnbrook, near Slough, at which point the flames had already spread to a significant portion of Ron’s finest. The damage must have been extensive by the time the emergency services arrived.
The cause of the fire looks to have been a fuel leak, with a wet patch - itself partially alight - seen leading up to the stricken P1 in the video.
Thankfully, the owner is thought to have escaped uninjured.

Rip McLaren
Srsly though dragging bodies suuuuuucks, i had to drag a 75kg dummy with both of us in full rigging gear 50m as part of our training. This was indoors and i was in my winter layers. Never sweat so much in my life lmao.
Wait until they make you swim with a dummy along with clothing lol, then you’ll know what struggle means
Ya M8, please don’t set it on fire K. Cool thanks.

All that technology/time/effort/man hours/ money/fun/
The ultimate driving machine goes up in smoke, This actually makes me really really sad inside knowing how much time money hours went into building and enjoying this car. :”(
Poor P1! Nice spec tho
Looks like a fuel or oil leak to me,
It will be rebuilt if the tub isn’t damaged.
I actually saw that P1 on a trip to London I recognise it from the blue and red wrap
I guess the p1 owner ask mclaren to swap the engine with the gp2 engine
Not a good two days for blue hypercars…
