Vettel's £21,000 Donuts Are Sweeter Than Most

Vettel's donuts were the only way to celebrate his success. That the FIA fined him £21k is ludicrous...
Doing what he feels, giving the crowds what they want. Top lad! Doing what he feels, giving the crowds what they want. Top lad!

Seb Vettel - your 2013 F1 world champion - celebrated his win in the only way a true petrolhead should celebrate being the best damn driver in the world - he gave the crowds £21,000 worth of sweet, sweet donuts.

That's right, Vettel's glorious victory dance cost the team £21k (about the same price as a set of tyres for a Veyron), because he failed to head directly to the post-race parc ferme. An excerpt from a letter by the FIA reads:

‘The stewards, having received a report from the race director, heard from the driver and the team representative, examined video/audio evidence, have considered the following matter, and determine a breach of the regulations has been committed.’

While we understand rules are rules, we can't help but think this was a ludicrously petty decision by the FIA. Not that Vettel gives a damn...
