I’ve always believed that driving a left handed car with right hand traffic was so on-coming can be better seen and therefore causing safer awareness to opposing traffic. Plus, being right hand dominant, it makes use of the gear selector/shifter and parking brake much easier and with far more control.

But on the Autobahn in the PRO driver lane you have an advantage since your dominant eye can glare at the middle lane snails more effectively.

Dumb conclusion.
right side of a body is dominant
better and faster going through gears
better heel and toe skills
more power for pulling handbrake(mad skids)

Wow. Some arguments here are quite interesting.
This video backs the left is better viewpoint with facts and science.
Forget changing gears with your right hand or using the handbrake, the gentle art of steering is the most critical factor here. Right eye dominant for assessing oncoming traffic and left eye PERIPHERAL for objects to the side.
I’ve driven extensively on both, am trained in emergency response driving, offensive and defensive and left side is better and safer.

If the right side of your body, including your eye, works better. Isn’t it better to have it on the side of the road where details matters ? Like pedestrian, people trying to merge in, general things on the side of the road.. instead of using it to see something wich is 99% of the time very obvious and separated with a line on the floor ? To me it makes more sense to drive on the right if you see better on the right.

I probably wouldn’t be able to drive a manual, or would take a lifetime to get used to, if I had to shift with my left hand, so driving on the right is better.

Why reading this post and wtching this video is a dumb idea :
Because it is all about statistics, without any source communicated.
Because the eyes roles subject is subjective : you can benefit from having your dominant eye pointing to incoming traffic, but it can be useful to have it pointing your own lane.
Because it doesn’t even talk about hands. Some people find it better to shift with their dominant hand, some don’t. Same goes with steering, pushing buttons on the dashboard, whatsoever.
Because the authors don’t realize the side doesn’t make a difference safety-wise.

Nevertheless, 65% of the world’s population drives on the right and the rest on the left. This means, cars has to be created for both and IMO it is nonsense, and a waste of ressources. Everyone should be driving on the same side …
