Watch A Subaru WRX STI Get Smashed To Bits As It Barrels Down A Bobsled Run
Rally driver and all-round driving nutter Mark Higgins can be seen driving a WRX STI down the famous St. Moritz bobsled run, with spectacular and crashy results...
If you’re thinking this WRX STI must have been in quite a state by the end of the run, you’d be right. Road and Track has a few aftermath pictures, and while the Subaru was apparently driveable, it ended up particularly battered. But then it wasn’t really designed to blast down a bobsled run.
If the name of the driver - Mark Higgins - sounds familiar, it’ll probably be because that’s the chap who currently holds the Isle of Man TT lap record for cars. The rally and stunt driver has had various record-breaking over the years involving Subarus, and it’s fair to say he’s a rather handy helmsman. And on this evidence, a pretty damn brave one too. Kudos, sir…
