We've Got This Gorgeous Jaguar F-Type 3.0 V6 AWD For 3 Months - What Do You Want To Know?
The Jaguar F-Type is one of my favourite new cars, and while I’ve said many times before that I’d never buy a new car, I’d make an exception with something like this. But because I don’t have upwards of £50,000 to spend on a new car, I did the next best thing by calling Jaguar UK and asking if they might loan me one for a few months.
Short story shorter, they agreed, and here we are; I am now the proud owner of this Ultra Blue F-Type S Coupe AWD British Design Edition with a few options thrown in, including a Fixed Panoramic Roof (£1280), Parking Pack (£515), Visibility Pack (£1100), MeridianTM Digital Surround Sound System - 770W (£1330), plus a few other bits. All in, this car is specced up to just over £80,000.
Because you’re probably wondering what the ‘British Design Edition’ bit adds to the car, you get a more aggressive body kit (the skirts are massive), 20-inch Cyclone 5 twin-spoke wheels, a Union Flag emblem on the grille and a switchable sports exhaust.
Under the bonnet sits a 3.0-litre, supercharged V6 with 375hp. That’s mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends drive to all four wheels. 0-62mph takes 5.1 seconds and it’s good for a top speed of 171mph (275kph).
So there’s a quick intro to the car you’ll be seeing a lot more of over the coming few weeks on video, the site and on Snapchat/Insta etc. I have some stuff planned already, but if there are any specifics you’d like to know, then hit me up in the comments below.
Until then, check out the video we shot a few years back of a RWD V6 Coupe. It’s the car that made me and many of you guys fall in love with the F-Type…
Comments
Is it a proper Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag?
Seriously though, has its character been changed by going AWD?
Will it drift?
Can it star in a review like Jeremy clarkson did on the Ford Fiesta? Can it beat a Ferrari in looks competiton in a group opinion test? How does the interior compare to other cars?
Drag race against Prius….
Colin, Phil, or this Jaguar?
How many hats can you fit in the boot? (Doesn’t matter what kind)
Can it tow a boat? Or really just try anything. I don’t mean for excessive miles, just enough to give a thumbs up or down
AWD donuts
Absolutey everything, Alex!
Will it fist?
