What are those things that every car guy should do during his life?

Sometimes people make a wish list that might contain all the goals and objectives that they want to get in a period of time.

Sometimes people make a wish list that might contain all the goals and objectives that they want to get in a period of time. On this list, is possible to find that people write down things like: get married, have a beautiful family, end my career, visit other countries, write a book… And most of these wishes fit for each person on a different way according to their lifestyle.

Here I made a list of events that you might find useful to include on your life plan.

1. Go Karts

What are those things that every car guy should do during his life?

Even if you don’t expect to become a professional driver, spending a sunday with your friends at a racetrack doing some races in go karts might result entertaining; Even if they are not into cars, they will love it for sure and might have an afternoon full of laughs and joy.

On the other hand, if you feel interested on improving your driving skills, if you go to a good racetrack, they will explain you the basics, that might be also applied on the track with a bigger car.

2. Learn advanced driving techniques

The Porsche driving experience takes their students, owners of porsche vehicles, to their proving grounds to teach them how to drive their own cars.
The Porsche driving experience takes their students, owners of porsche…

After becoming 18 years old (or 16 in some cases) we are allowed to go to a driving school and if we complete successfully the lessons, maybe we can get the driving license. However, in most of the countries these academies only teach the basics to move a car: They teach you how to press the accelerator, the brake, if you are lucky (cough not in USA cough) they teach you to drive a manual transmission, and for sure how to handle your vehicle during the routine of the city.

However, unless you live in Finland, you will lack of the instruction of how to drive properly on tougher scenarios.

When you get the chance of learning advanced driving techniques don’t think it twice.

3. Visit Germany!

What are those things that every car guy should do during his life?

There are many places around the world that also offer a good experience for car enthusiast like us. However Germany offers a compilation for all the different kind of petrolheads. For example they have the famous Autobahn for those who like to take their cars to the highest speeds possible, or Nürburgring or also their big factories of the famous brands that also share their creations in their museums.

On the other hand, for the beer lovers it might result as a good destiny… Also the beautiful women… ( ° ʖ °) …

Keep in mind that you can make this one real during the CT Meet the next April 29th

4. Buy a driving simulator with proper hardware

What are those things that every car guy should do during his life?

This is becoming common recently, but having good hardware for gaming and a good place where to spend your free time will result to be nice. Not only for you but also for your friends. Also, spending time on a good driving simulator might improve your general driving knowledge and skills.

5. Have a project car.

What are those things that every car guy should do during his life?

Having a car, for a petrolhead, ends up forming a bond with it; We spend a lot of time with it, we take care of it, we even put a name and decide if it should not be called again ‘it’ but ‘he’ or ‘she’. We give them a complete personality.

Now, spending some time during the weekends fixing and replacing parts is a perfect stress reliever and a perfect hobby… Just a bit expensive…

6. Go for an off road adventure.

What are those things that every car guy should do during his life?

Even if you’re not into off road trucks or into rally, spending a few time out of the boundaries of the city will result relaxing. Also the contact with nature will help you to improve your health.
Maybe, mixing this experience with camping and fishing would result as an unforgettable experience.

7. Participate in a regularity rally.

What are those things that every car guy should do during his life?

For the lovers of the show, Clarkson, Hammond and May already participated in a regularity rally. It is an event where the participants have to reach the checkpoints keeping close to the time that is established by the judges. As it is developed on the open roads, drivers can’t exceed speed limits nor break the traffic rules.

For car enthusiasts making part of this kind of event would result as a good chance to see good cars and share with other petrolheads.

8. Make part of the Mongol Rally

The Mongol Rally has a similar format as a regularity rally. The difference with this one is that the starting point is in London, and it finishes in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. To be allowed to participate you have to (Taken from the mongol rally website)

1. You can only take a farcically small vehicle 2. You’re completely on your own 3. You've got to raise a £1000 for charity

9. Convert someone into cars.

Spend time with someone to talk about cars is a good chance to encourage him to keep interested in them
Spend time with someone to talk about cars is a good chance to encourage…

The amount of satisfaction given by doing this is *“TOO DAMN HIGH!”
We might talk everyone about cars, and they might be interested on them. But making that someone becomes really interested on your passion, and that starts sharing with you about it will make you feel special.

Bonus points: turn your girlfriend/wife a car-girl might be the ultimate goal.

10. Visit Car Throttle Headquarters

I don’t know what you think, but I’m intrigued about how the magic happens.

Bonus: Jump with a parachute!

What are those things that every car guy should do during his life?

This has been on my list for a long time (Maybe as long as the ones that are above :’( ) but jumping from an airplane would be fun. I think it would provide me the same adrenaline that reaching a high speed gives.

Now tell me what other wishes should we have on this list.

Doing top speed runs. With my childhood time playing Shutokou Battle and Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune I have been addicted to speed since then. One thing I would like to do is going for maximum velocity in a highly modified sports cars on a highway (preferably Wangan in Japan) during midnight.

Ahhh Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5 is the most competitive game here in the arcades. I love it. Only thing that bugs me is that the Evos are so freaking buffed and OP, cars like my Ruf CTR struggle to keep up.
