Didn’t do much modding yet, so:Took apart, cleaned and re-assembled the engine.About 40 euros for new oil, a new head-gasket, a few rubber gloves (because of the old dirt and oil) and two screws.Ran much better afterwards (subjectively), and puts out two more horsepower than stock.
I scored an Active Autowerke BOV with a CP-e Charge Pipe and Dual-Cone Intakes for $200. Crank the boost up and pssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh….
Cylinder head skim and little port cleaning … On an engine built for 87 octane gasoline where 91 and 93 octane (AKI) are available More confort, more torque everywhere, more power, less fuel consumption. Oh and that’s cost me only around 200€ (machining + full top engine gasket set + new head bolts ) on an NA miata B6 engine
Modifying the electric folding mirrors in my Z32 300ZX.
Stock, the switch is center for neutral, switch up for mirrors out and switch down for mirrors in.
I built a logic circuit using relays and a capacitor so that switch up is always mirrors out, even if the car is off, switch down is always mirrors in even when the car is off, but the middle, which is normally neutral and does nothing, is now automatic - when you start the car the mirrors will automatically fold out and when you park and turn the car off they will automatically fold back in.
Thats a very useful mod, i’m really impressed!
