Why Is This Guy's Ferrari F40 Blue?

Photographer Sam Moores owns one of the most well-known F40s in the UK, but why is it blue? Let the man himself explain in this vlog...

The colour chat starts at about the 13min 30sec mark (although it’s worth watching the whole thing, since it’s not often you see the owner of a car like this talk so candidly about it), but the reason for the colour is all because of carbonfibre weave.

Since this car was wearing white, mostly aftermarket panels when Sam bought it, the car needed a splash of paint once the bare carbon, stock parts were re-installed. It would have been difficult to get visible weave using the original Rosso Corsa, so Sam opted for a completely custom shade of blue.

If you had a car like this and needed a respray, would you be tempted to go for a non-original colour?
