Would You Rather: Own An Appreciating Cayman GT4, Or A Depreciating Aventador?

If you were given the choice between an appreciating GT4 (itself an incredibly fast and accomplished sports car) or a Lamborghini Aventador supercar that will lose you money, which is it to be?

Don’t care about value and I freakin love Lambos. For some reason, though, I’d still go for the Cayman.

I know the Cayman is a proper sport car but it doesn’t have that thing which makes you feel special. And beside that the Aventador is piece of engineeing waiting to be upgraded to the max, it’s like a blank canvas you know. You could make it into a show car give it a set of air suspension and liberty walk kit plus nice wheels or, you can strip it give some proper engine and aero tweaks and you ended up with the successor of the awesome Murcielago R-SV. So for me the Aventador is the winner.

Considering I would have to sell my house to pay the taxes on either of the two I would have to pick the Cayman. At least the seats recline; seeing as I’d be living in it.

No questions asked the GT4. A much better car for the money.

Thing is, the cayman GT4 probably isn’t still appreciating now. Considering there are a few available for sale used now, if you want one you can buy one (for £40K over list price mind you). They went up a lot in price at first because you couldn’t get hold of them, but as soon as everyone realised they could charge a premium for them there’s quite a few on the used market.
