Yes, Toyota Is Actually Entering A Crossover Into The Nurburgring 24 Hours
Toyota will be taking on the Nurburgring 24 Hours endurance event in a racing version of its C-HR concept
Just when we thought a rear-wheel drive Subaru estate was the weirdest racing car we’d see all week, news of this Toyota lands. Yep, Toyota is going to turn its C-HR crossover concept into a racing car. To take on one of the toughest endurance races out there. We’re as surprised as you…
Details are very limited at this stage, but we’ll know a lot more when the car gets its proper reveal at the Geneva motor show in March. At the N24 in May it’ll also be joined by racing versions of the RC and RC F from Toyota luxury brand Lexus.

SICK
Wow..
Why?
Actually, if you think about it, a crossover at the Nurburgring is actually not a bad idea- yes, it might be left wanting in the aerodynamics department, but considering the Nurburgring is a heavily undulating, cambered course, it might be better off in the chassis department because of its slightly higher ground clearance/softer suspension and short overhangs (particularly at Flugplatz), if it has a crossover-esque suspension set up that is, which I kind of doubt.
Nice name bro
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is faster around it than a 996 GT3, Audi R8 V8, and an E92 M3. So you might be on to something.
Toyota entering the Nurburgring 24 Hour with a crossover, sweet…wait what?
Dare I say the words “Mobile Chicane”?
It’ll just get in the way of everything from the Manta to R8s..
That is a fantastic term
Looks rather similar to Toyota RSC
Why not? I love crazy tracktools like this :D
I actually think crossover racing would be pretty fun. Just imagine a Renault captur hunting a Nissan Juke up eau rouge
Imagine dedicated crossover racing.
