Nissan S-Cargo

The S-Cargo (Sounds like “escargot”, the French word for snail) was a small retro styled 2-door van produced by Nissan from 1989 until 1992. The car used the interior from Citroën and originally the car was sold without the Nissan branding.

It’s unknown how many have been build, Nissan says they build only 8.000, but other sources say they build 12.000.

Specs
Engine: 1.4L E15S I4
Transmission: 3-speed automatic
Body style: 2-door van
Layout: FF-layout (Front-engine, front-wheel drive)

Have a nice day :)

If you’re referring to Doug’s, then it’s actually registered as a sedan

I wonder if Nissan came up with the name before or after they designed the car, cause S-Cargo sounding similar to french word for snail and the car basically looking like a snail…

I’m curious :D

I used to see these a lot when I was young - we called them bubble cars - and they were often painted in bright colours.
