1998 Toyota MR2 TRD 2000GT

This is my MR2 with TRD wide body.

In Peru we don’t have good roads so I can’t have wider wheels because I can break the kit with potholes around town.

Turbo: 7psi, planning to go back to 15psi as I used to have. Yellow sport coils are perfect for handling.

I like to autocross and daily my cars as you can see. That’s what they are meant for.

Cool, the mid-engined weight shifting version of the MX5

In my experience: I’ve driven MK1, MK3 and MK4 MX5’s. Hard. Being both two seater sportscars doesn’t make them comparable. The driving experience is entirely different. MX5’s are closer in driving experience with MK1 MR2’s (AW11).

Thanks man. Not the usual JDM hero but it’s a blast to drive. I prefer this over the Boxster Spyder that I had.

I’ve owned 2 SW20s. I’ve never had more fun driving a car. Not close. I miss it.

When you have a car you can both use as a showcar and a trackcar… love it.

Cars are meant for using them. As daily or racing, but you have to use them.

What?! A TRD kit? Aren’t those as rare as finding a pink unicorn sipping mountain dew by the sea shore?

You can buy a replica. With labor, it will cost as much as an original.
