Do you prefer torquey or revvy engines? Explain!

100% depends on the car… saloon or GT car, probably something with shedloads of torque that doesn’t feel like it needs to work very hard to shove you down the road. Sportscar or roadster, something NA and revvy, so you really need to work to keep it on the boil between a set of hairpins even if it’s actually slower in a straight line than many big heavy saloons.

Well put! As I told many times in here, a revvy engine will always do a better job when it comes to getting through corners, even though it will be a bit harder to get off the line.

torquey, yes revvy is nice but it needs some torque to back it up.
there is no better feeling than your seat being pushed in your back and the weight shifting to the rear

This. For a good acceleration, you need some torque. This is why Teslas and other EVs have excellent 0-100 times, instant torque ftw. Also, the push feeling makes for some great fun!
