2001 Fiat Seicento Sporting Michael Schumacher Limited Edition (third car)

This tiny beast, affectionately named “Little Deathtrap” was my third car. It was nr. 2425 of the 5000 MS limited editions built. I wanted a car that is cheap to buy and cheap to run, so I could save up more money. I figured this was the most fun alternative. The little Seicento is normally a very spartan affair, but this one had all of the factory options except for A/C. Having downgraded from a 6 cylinder BMW, I was afraid that I will hate the car within days for its lack of performance and sure, it was a pain on the motorway, but otherwise it was fun! It had Abarth sports suspension, and close-ratio transmission, so it could be thrown around corners and it made the most of its 1100 cc engine, being competitive as long as it stayed within the city. I finally ended up owning it for approximately half a year, and learned much about driving a small car, but to be honest I was not very sad when I could finally afford to upgrade.

Fun cars (I had a 97’ cinquecento sporting, which this is based on)
The Michael Schumacher editions were exactly the same as a Cinquecento and seicento sporting apart from the body kit and a Schumacher signature on the boot. Never heard of these having abarth suspension kits…
Clutch cables are prone to snapping at the pivot inside the car on the passenger side so carry a spare!
Also the 1.1 ‘fire’ motors a buggers for doing head gaskets!
Apart from that bloody fun cars!

Nice Seicento. You know, you could always tune the engine a bit, it’ll make it quicker and with better response. Just make sure you dont use just water for cooling.

This is a nice fun car. The cousin cinquecento holds a special place in my heart. 👍
