I’ve got a question regarding modding my Peugeot 107
My 107 is pretty slow, so I was thinking of getting an open air intake.
My question is, do they really increase power and would it be a good idea to do on a 6 year old car?

Comments
i think it does because it sucks more air in
maybe
Thanks
Would it make a noticeable difference? Currently it only has 68bhp
Make an appointment with a tuning company. They can predict and make an estimate of the car’s potential.
Thanks
It realistically does if you make a cold air intake box. With a short ram intake, you get warmer air than stock, and therefore less power. I highly doubt you would notice the difference. I would focus on comfort and visual mod on a 107 because the car wont make any decent power.
Alright, thanks for the advice
If I had it Id probably make sure the car is ok with adding power to it,then Id check for it to get maybe a programm and stuff like the air intake you said.If I was to mod a stock car Id go for air intake, suspension and a nice-yet no that expensive set of wheels and maybe something visual like a bumper or spoiler
Thanks for the advice
Seems like you have car but don’t have money for more expencive mods. If that is the case I would recommend you to do some cheap upgrades. There is a MCM video called “how to make your slow car fast” on yt. It shows how with no budget to make car faster. Another thing that is rarely spoken of but is good mod is to add fuel lines cleaning additives to your fuel. It is very cheap. When you add additive it cleans fuel lines and returns some of power lost due to time. On around 200 bhp car it returned around 15 bhp just by adding this. You can wach video called “How to return cars lost power” or something like that. Dealing with air intake doesn’t really add much power to car. So this videos might come helpful to you. Cheers.
Thanks a lot!
You’re right, I don’t really have a lot of money for expensive mods XD
Yes definetly man. Spoiler is on my list too. But a small one. Like ones that were able to buy on stock versions. Just a bit smaller than the one on picture. But the trend that is kinda cool to me, and it really affects look of a car is painting letters on your tires. Trust me man, you can buy white pens for tires for almost nothing, but it adds to that sport look factor alot. If you want check out this video: https://youtu.be/YctBmsZwB8o . And actually your tires can be some chineese ass shit and not mischellin to make them look expencive and cool af. Just check it out and see for yourself. :)
Nice
Uitlaat en ecu?
Dat is best wel duur XD
An intake won’t give you meaningful performance gains, just a much meaner sound under a certain amount of load. If you’re gonna do that, then do it right and make sure that all the sensors are put in the right place otherwise you’ll eventually fu ck up your engine
Alright thanks
Not really, an intake is best matched with an ECU tune, and that would be more expensive than other engine modifications, such as injectors or an exhaust.
Try an ecu tune it ads about 40 bhp
