"Death of Carthrottle" talk needs to stop. If the community wants change we need to act not complain

Lately many users have noticed that there are less active users on carthrottle lately, which is definitely true. This problem has been approached in the incorrect way however, and I myself have been guilty of this somewhat. Many users have taken to complaining and making posts asking people to talk about the problem when really we should be trying to fix it. Post more content to get the community more involved. Write blog posts. Start conversations in the comments. More user interaction is what’s needed right now because as many of you have said there isn’t enough of it. Stop following what’s “trendy” on carthrottle and start making unique quality content again, because that’s what attracts people to the comments of your posts and gets people active again.

to play devil’s advocate, if we yell ct is dead loud enough, the staff will notice

That is true, but staff action alone won’t get people to come back, the content people post has been a bit mediocre lately as well in general aside from a few users

Has the staff ever made changes before due to user request?

Haha it’s alright most people were thinking it before you said something, someone else would have started it if you didn’t

That’s why my post was intended to point out the staff can’t do everything, we have to make the community fun, we just need the staff to show we’re here

It’s actually really funny to see. It’s happening every year in the summer when many people are on vacation and because of that not as active as normally that people start predicting CT’s death. But since everything can always be improved I still support those efforts to “Make CT Great Again” :D

Even if you had a penny for every time that happened you would still be a bazzillionaire

Nice speech, but it won’t happen.
Reason No.1 Fanboys
No.2 you can’t really change one’s mentality (I’m talking about the ones who are desperate to post something to get an upvote)
No.3 Average age (this might piss you off,but hear me out.I’m not saying it’s bad that we have young CTzens here, it’s not their fault that they don’t really know cars yet, but fanboys create more fanboys and since they don’t really know much about cars in general, and everyone says it’s good, of course they go with the trend. because they are still young they don’t have the mentality that the 20 or 30 or more year olds have, and they are afraid of being, well, disliked. WE the more mature part of CT have to change so they can change too.

Best method of bringing positive vibes: Scroll through the latest posts and if you see something you like, talk to that poster about it.and even more helpful, if someone is posting about things they don’t like but you like those things…tell them why.
Also, the easiest posts to spark conversation on this site full of people who wish to be instantly entertained: question posts. Or pick a few cars and ask them to choose one.

It has a reason. Gotta make the CT loud enough for staff to notice. I have already screen shot every comments and made a mile long email. I have already sent it to adnan@carthrottle.com

Well, it is pretty childish, I can agree. But I can clearly see where they’re coming from.

Been a CTzen since ‘15, I have noticed a big downfall of CarThrottle. First, revenue got the better of them. This is apparent on their YT vids, the ever increasing sponsored posts, and their useless keychain BS on Instagram. Second, the gap between staffs and users are bigger than ever. I mean, when was the last time Adnan commented on a user post? July 2016?

And lastly, the numbers of regularly active users are falling. This one is self explanatory.
