4 Meaningful Differences Between The Subaru BRZ and Scion FRS
The manual FRS weighs 6 lbs less than the base manual BRZ. The auto FRS weighs 18 lbs less than the base auto BRZ.
The FRS has a drag coefficient of 0.27, vs 0.28 (with spoiler) or 0.29 (without spoiler) on the BRZ. I believe this is due to panels under the car. (Series.Blue BRZ is 0.27).
The FRS has softer springs up front and stiffer springs in the rear vs the BRZ. Theoretically this makes it slightly less prone to understeer.
The Series.Blue BRZ wheels weighed about 3 lbs less (per wheel) vs the FRS. (Both are 17” alloys).

Ughhh now my decision is much harder…
Haha it shouldn’t be. Get the one you think looks better or you get a better deal on. And get the manual, it’s faster!

What about the GT86?
Scion FRS = Toyota GT86
Dunno why they call the car differently in one country but same for the rest of the world O_o
Makes me so happy knowing there’s an 86 for my generation of enthusiasts. #86life

I like the extra features and styling of the BRZ more than the FRS. The weight difference is so minuscule that it isn’t worth it IMO. One week’s groceries would take away that difference.
I must find someone with a Subaru BRZ, and get him to make a little video.
Me: Hey, is that the FRS?
BRZ owner: What? HELL NO, LOOK AT THE BADGE!!
If someone can make this happen before me, I wouldn’t even be mad.
Just bought my FR-S last month. It’s a wonderful little car. Same color as the post pic too. No spoiler. Didn’t like it.
