i’ve always left my car in first and held the clutch at lights. apparently i am wrong and i should feel bad
In a video about mechanical sympathy, push the button on the handbrake before you yank it up like that. It’s like nails on a chalkboard.
He did it twice too 😣
Quite a few cars fail to engage the ratchet properly unless you let it click up into place, few vectras rolled away years ago
I literally do ALL of these things. Except #5, which I never do.
Why is it that any of the videos i watch through the app take 30 years to load
About the hill start tip, here in Sweden it’s mandatory that we learn how to hold a car with clutch on hill. I remember it was a bit weird at first but after doing it a few times I realised it’s the best imo.
Most of these tips are to prevent premature wear on some part, unless your hitting the same hill where you are balancing the clutch and gas to hold yourself on the hill every day, it probably won’t cause substantial wear, again, the whole idea though is to minimize unnecessary wear and save yourself hassle and money a little ways down the road, so in summary, just don’t do it unless your in a very uncomfortable situation where you feel you absolutely need to, and in case you hit this situation daily, try using the tips he gives you.
I dont have e brake so i do heel and toe technique
Don’t have an e brake/handbrake? In a manual? Really? Is it one of them foot operated ones?
I have an e brake and I use heel and toe to not roll back too. Is that bad?
When starting on a hill, I let the clutch bite in pulses instead of letting it slip continuously for few seconds which I believe reduces heat build up and clutch wear. Am I doing it wrong ??
Just going for a drive, when suddenly pulls out a random presureplate from between his legs. Im happy when i dont forget to bring my sunglasses with me in the car, let alone a spare pressure plate.
Being forced to watch a 2.57 advert before watching a video that’s going to be what? 5 minutes long?
