Hot hatch thread:
CIVIC EP3 TYPE R VS. CLIO 3 SPORT.
They are so similar: both are manual, both have a 2000cc engine, both have 200hp.
What do you guys think is the best choice?

The Clio isn’t a Honda so it shouldn’t be accused as a rice box or gay piece of shite
I have nothing against Hondas but you gotta keep stuff like this in mind if you buy one, but performance wise I’d choose the Honda

Type R. The k20 has a lot of tuning capabilities (can be tuned at 300 hp N/A)9k rpm rev limit and Honda has a lot of modification options. Not to mention reliability is top notch.

I’d personally have the Clio but only because I think they look better than that model of Civic Type R and They are in some cases cheaper to insure than the Civic.
I’d say buy which ever car you want though. Don’t leave the choice of your own car to people on the internet to decide

Thats really close, I dont like Renaults interior but I wont be afraid of it falling apart. I find the clio more sporty.

Civic why give up the chance on the Type R?

The honda will probably be more reliable and cheaper to repair if things go wrong.

both equally matched on paper but put them on a track and the type R walks away from it… the extra RPM up top makes a big difference. the upside of the clio is that it comes with a brembo big brake kit, other than that the honda trumps it hands down
