I drive passat with sport susp. on a daily basis and sometimes on a weekend I take my cousins Cooper S JCW. Damn, first 50 miles is okay but you cant have this car as a daily. Its to stiff. When I come back in passat after mini it feels soft like maybach.
My Wife say’s stiff much better then soft. ;)
Dont know what you’ll make of this but ive found sorted track and race cars ive driven have been faily compliant in terms of stiffness was told by someone i used to work with who used to build porsche race cars over in England and built a couple of lotus’s for the bathurst 12hr said its because its easier on the driver and better over ripple strips n slight bumps in the road
This explains why Lotus suspension revisions almost always use softer springs and stiffer shocks than the standard version of the vehicle.
your collar is rolled up
In conclusion, softer springs is better over bumps and edges while stiffer springs is better on a flat surface.
To dumb it down to a point where the information is useless, yes.
Stiff springs cause race car!
"The suspension set up is 10 % stiffer. If I’m honest…so am I." - jeremy clarkson
STIFF SPRINGS ON MY DAILY SO I CAN LOOK LIKE IM A RACECAR!
just because
Of course. Because racecar. Racecar is why I do anything.
