My father always bought me hotwheels as a kid. Then whenever I was about 7 or 8 I always stayed glued to Gran Turismo 2 then eventually I grew to love Japanese imports through Need For Speed Underground. During that same period my dad would build model cars with me and eventually bought me a used dirtbike when I was about 10 or 11. When I got old enough to drive my dad helped me fix up a junked 71 Dodge Charger that we eventually sold. Now I work on my Miata and Mazdaspeed6 every chance I get. Since I could barely walk I’ve been a die-hard gearhead. Its always been my daily goal to go as fast as money will allow….and then some

I started at age 5, I remeber I grabbed my moms keys while she was in the shower and went outside to our brand new 1995 chrysler town and country, climbed in, and put the key in and turned it. I didnt start the van, but I got it to the on position, and of course back then you didnt have to press the brake pedal to put in gear, so I reached up and pulled on the gear lever and got it into neutral. The van started rolling forward and I started having fun holding the wheel, until I hit the tree at the end of our driveway…

For christmas one year my mom bought me a ps2 and GT3. That was the first time I really got to have a feel for cars and what they could do. It really all started when I was like 3, my basement was huge and carpeted and I began a collection of hotwheels I still have today, (over 1000 strong now), and I designed a racetrack to flow with the shape of the basement. Course being so small I didn’t know about hp, torque, handling etc, and thought all cars where the same except for looks. I frequently had Silverados and Rams beating Jags because I was obsessed with pickup trucks. These days I’d rather have the Jag though.

When I was young, my older brother (a Marine) took me to Camp Pendleton where I saw a guy working on a large vehicle. The tire itself was nearly bigger than him. I swore I would be able to do that. I did my first oil change when I was 16 and my first (solo) engine rebuild at 18. Now 23, I have started working with diesel engines. I couldn’t be happier.

One day I was late for school and accidentally met my classmate (we haven’t really been friend until then) who was also late. We started talking and the decided to go to his garage. He was into mopeds at the time, but that was sort of a starting point for my interest in things related to motors which later on led into cars. Now we are best friends, both car guys and most of our friends can’t stand being with us because we always start discussing cars if anyone at least mentions something even remotely related. And we tend go on about it for hours

It started off with my grandpa, he knew everything you need to know about cars, and I always looked up to him. Although I never really observed what he did when accompanied him in the garage while he was fiddling with his merc, so I actually know Very little about how to repair a car - but
yeah, that’s where it all started.

It all started as a kid around about when I was 6 years old, I started playing with hotwheels and everytime I saw a new one I wanted it. Plus the fact my brother was passionate about cars too and he taught me more about cars than any toy could, that’s how it started
