Customs Duty, Supplementary Duty, VAT, Regulatory Duty- some of the very basic side costs that you gotta pay for importing a car (may vary region to region). But how much are you ready to pay for? How much Import cost would make sense? Well, heloww! I’m from Bangladesh- one of the countries with most population density. As a report of 2016 says, 46% of total world population come from China, India & Bangladesh.

Suzuka, Japan, 1989. Two McLaren MP4/5’s rolled up to the first two grid slots at the Japanese Grand Prix. Ayrton Senna on pole position, Teammate Alain Prost in 2nd. Prost was 16 Points ahead of Senna in the Formula 1 World Drivers Championship, and in the penultimate race, Senna knew he had to somehow dethrone Prost. Prost knew if Senna didn’t win at Japan or Adelaide, the Championship would be his. Both knew their McLaren’s were the cars to beat in the race, and that as long as they did not take out each other, one would win. However, no one knew which one.

It was the 1970s and the world of Formula 1 had seen many new ideas and innovations over the last few years. Lower cars, thicker tires, a very large spoiler on both front and rear, the engines had changed size and position, transitioning from the front of the car, to the rear. Said engines however (as they are today) didn’t come in a very wide variety, Ferrari dominated with its flat 12 engine while pretty much every other team used the Ford-Cosworth DFV due to its reliability and power.

First off…if you love or own one of these things, relax. Know I hate it…but respect your right to love it. Hey, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”, right? No worries, then. Lets get to some reasons why I feel this way. Does this even matter? WARNING: Severely Sleep Deprived Dude writing this now. Also he is only using Google to acquire images. No knowledge surfing. Meh. See how it goes. All from memory. Off the dome. It’s gonna jump around a lot. En…joy? #MakeCarThrottleCarsAgain

CART (Championship Auto Racing Teams) was an Open Wheel Racing Series that had been a rival to the IRL (Indy Racing League) for the many years since IRL’s Tony George had separated from CART. CART had boasted that their cars, tracks, and drivers were much faster and that their races had much more excitement than IRL. This marketing trick worked, and CART was rivaling NASCAR in American Motorsport. CART, looking to expand further, added one of NASCAR’s tracks to the 2001 CART Schedule, Texas Motor Speedway.

Some cars we look back on and as petrol heads we’re just certain that they will become classics, up there with the Jaguar E-Type, Mercedes 300SL Gullwing, BMW M1, Aston Martin DB5, Ford Mustang GT350 etc… the list could go on forever. Even more recentley we are seeing more modern cars rocket in value. The BMW E46 M3 CSL a few years ago would set you back about £40-50k. Now you’re looking at more £60-70k for a prestine example. So I just thought I would list 5 cars which I thought could soon become classic cars that we rave about to our kids / grandkids.

The 44th annual Daytona 500 was an absolute thriller, and I’ve chosen to dive into the race in detail. The 2002 edition of the race was one of the wildest Daytona 500’s in the race’s 58 Year History. A new aerodynamic package encouraged drivers to be much more aggressive when overtaking and also in their blocking, the race being after NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt passed away in the 2001 edition of the race. The 2002 Daytona 500 had a reputation to live up to before the race even started, and it delivered that afternoon.

RIGHT! The time has come to do a write up on what living with a welded Diff is like on an E39. So last week I took the plunge after literally MONTHS of debating if I should do it or not after hearing so many stories (both good and bad) from people on the internet and wanting to do some drift events next year I took my 530i to be professionally welded by a BMW drift team that was local to me.

The Bronco I’m reviewing in this article is my personal, daily driven vehicle. I’ve owned it for three years, and have driven approximately 27,000 miles. So this is a very long term reveiw. Enjoy, and thanks for readin’.

Introduction. I often hear people say that the BMW F06 6 Series Gran Coupe is just a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The sheep being the BMW F10 5 Series. However, there are benefits to both options. One is less practical. One is sportier. One is more luxurious. One is prettier. One is the better option.. Is the 6 Series worth the price premium? A challenging question. Especially when compared to the much cheaper 5 Series. I will compare the BMW 550i X-Drive to the BMW 650i Gran Coupe X-Drive. Price.

Through out history there have been many racing teams that have managed to make it to the top category, Formula 1. However, getting to the top is one thing, and a whole different one is staying there. Some, like Ferrari and McLaren, have managed to do so, some others have not been able to stay, but they are remembered for their achievements or inovations, Tyrrel and Brabham qualify in that sector. However there are some others that didn’t even get that. Some teams that have been simply forgoten. Here I will show you a list of 26, yes 26 F1 teams that you probably haven’t heard of.

As men,as petrolheads,we always want our cars to look better, fresher, more personal. That is the reason why made this list of mods that I’d like to do to my first car,and I’m sure you’ll want at least one from the list! #1 Stickerbomb The first cosmetic enhancement on my list is JDM as f’ck. :D It’s well known among petrolheads and it looks very nice on Japanese and European cars. You can buy the stickerbomb foil or simply go full DIY and use some old comics/Mangas and some spray glue, then seal with clear coat.

I’m continuing my series on cars and technology that I started a while ago but never really caught on. In the series I’ll be talking about the latest technological developments and how they might affect/benefit cars in the future. Here’s the first part of the series talking about algae fuel if you’re interested: https://www.carthrottle.com/post/n4zl6bp/

Being sick, I recently remembered the old days of playing PS2 racing games and during the adventure through old PS2 sites with games, I came up with an idea for a game. Surely Tokyo Xtreme Racer - Drift doesn’t sound promising but here are some reasons why you should boot up your PS2’s or your PS2 emulators and give it a try!

My grandfather used to own one of these bad boys. It was an 80s model he purchased in 2009. Similar to the one in the picture, but with more rust. It was a daily beater. The car has a 29 BHP engine with front wheel drive.Might not sound like much, but with it’s 800kg,it is fairly lightweight. It’s high speed is around 120 km/h,but grandfather never drove it over 60. Even at lower speeds, the noise inside was horrible, since the car didn’t have any sound isolation.

There have been many new cars released in the past 2 years, from the Bugatti Chiron to the lowly Smart ForTwo. The last few years have brought huge technological innovations in cars: Tesla is now putting level 5 autonomous self-driving hardware in all their cars, Chevrolet revealed the electric Bolt with a 238 mile range, and engine downsizing, semi-autonomous driving features, futuristic infotainment systems, unibody platforms, crossovers, and turbos have been sweeping the market. But not all car models have followed these trends.

It’s that time of the year again. Giving gifts and spending time with family. For us Petrolheads, we look forward to get things for our cars such as car parts, washing tools, zip ties, etc. But, there are also many other petrolheads who don’t have a car yet or are too young for a license yet. Here are some gift ideas to give petrolheads who don’t have cars yet.

Here’s a Fast. Here’s a Furious. UGH! Stereotypical, generic, moneymaking, pointless, unnecessarily complex heist movie with some Dodge Chargers thrown in for lolz. That is what Fast and Furious has been ever since Fast Five. Up until then, the Fast and Furious franchise has been all about modified cars and epic chases. The stuff that made movies like Bullitt and The Blues Brothers so great. Of course, all typical moviegoers care about is if there are any explosions or not. So to outline the problem, I’ll share a little anecdote of mine with y’all:

Now everyone might not agree with me but this is just my opinion. If your budget is tight I recommend doing all of your maintenance first before doing any of these. You want to have a reliable car before you modify it. EVEN THOUGH A ROLL BAR ISNT IN EVERYONES BUDGET I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY MIATA OWNER AS THEIR FIRST MODIFICATION FOR THE CAR. A ROLL BAR WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE IN TR EVENT OF A ROLL OVER. PLEASE ADD ONE OF THESE TO YOUR CAR IT IS KEY TO THR SAFTEY OF THR VEHICLE. MOST TRACKS REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE ONE FOR YOUR MIATA.

The Grand Tour

Before I get started, I have watched every episode of The Grand Tour and every episode of Top Gear (post 2002), so this opinion is based on 14 years of happy viewing. Another thing I need to get out of the way quickly is I enjoyed the most recent episode of Top Gear. Sure, episode 1 wasn’t great and Evans was too loud, but the core elements were there, and I am very confident the next series will be a great watch.
