Let’s be honest: it’s no better than any other overused meme format on this website.

He-hey, everybody! It’s me, Mickey Mouse! Today, I’m participating in a #BuildPost challenge that Debodeep started. To compete in this challenge, one must build a street-legal touge race car that is ready to tackle the Usui downhill, the road that Keiichi Tsuchiya calls his home course. For this, the cars must be built for handling first, acceleration next, and top speed last. With that being stated, let’s push the boundaries of what a road car can do!

He-hey, everybody! It’s me, Mickey Mouse! I’m glad to be posting here today, especially because I’m participating in a #BuildPost challenge that MR2Maniac started. In this challenge, the goal is to build a car that’s destined to race at speeds of 160 miles per hour and beyond as a member of the Mid Night Club. Now, where did I start?

It is a general fact that many Porsche purists and enthusiasts view the 996-generation Porsche 911 as the lowest point in the 911’s lifespan. Their reasoning for this verdict stem from the hideous headlights, the infamous intermediate shaft’s ball-bearing failure, and the sacrilegious swap to water-cooling. The release of the Cayman slightly before this new generation and the rise of mass production do not help the car’s case for perfectionists; compared to the 911’s of yore, this was the ugly duckling.

Honda’s second edition of its lauded sports car, the NSX, breaks away from its predecessor in many aspects. Where there once was a stick shift, there is now only a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission. The original car had 3.0 and 3.2 L V6’s, both naturally aspirated, but the new car has a 3.5 L V6 that is aided by two turbochargers and three electric motors. This configuration transmits power to all four wheels rather than the two rears that the former car utilized. In size and weight, the newer car is larger and heavier, with the featherweight original being smaller.

Driving is a liberating sense that makes us feel free out on the open road. Driving is bliss that makes us enjoy the scenery around us and gives us time to relax. Driving is so much more than going from one point to another; it is about the segment that is between those two points, which is filled with curves, straights, and stop signs. Driving is building a personal bond with a car as both of you stick together through sunny days as well as rainy days and the occasional snowy day.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.

Electricity has potential in passenger vehicles, but in its current state of innovation, it falls short to the Diesel engine. Not only are Diesels lauded for their torque and efficiency, but also for their reliability and range. A vehicle powered by a Diesel engine is not always a dirty, lifted truck that spews coal at every chance it gets; in more economical applications, it is an engine that can obtain high fuel efficiencies without sacrificing its ability to pull a trailer.

I want to do something mental. I want to make a car that blows every idea of a car out of the water and deep into space, where it continues going faster and faster without the limitations of air or gravity. I want to make a car that can corner just as well as it can accelerate, one that can spin like and top and launch like a bottle rocket as it flies around corners like a Styrofoam glider.
