Sad to read so many comments that think you can buy a prius and become an Uber driver the same afternoon. In London they are stringently tested. Have the proper insurance for carriage and the vehicles tested way more than a creaky old black cab is tested. They are like 40% cheaper more efficient and the drivers are grateful of your business and really do enjoy what they do. If Uber is ruining busines for traditional taxi’s tough. Move with the times.

Uber recently got banned from my city because Taxi drivers complained, which sucks because taxis are dirty as hell and expensive compared to Uber.

In Hamburg (Germany) there seems to be some sort of agreement.
Uber-drivers keep a bit of distance to the Taxis, so those are closer to the customers at Train-Stations and the Airport and such.
Also, as far as I know, there were no (violent) demonstrations or arguments yet.
